Hi! I am a stretched in every direction mummy of two under two living in Kwinana...

One day about a year ago whilst my husband and I were getting frustrated at never knowing what was happening locally until it had been and gone, we had this brain wave to try and make a helpful newsletter type thing to tell us parents just what was going on, and provide helpful stuff and all sorts specifically for 0-5 year olds and their families so we all could do more and live very happily :)

A little while later, after heaps of digging around, stockpiling info from Kwinana's early years groups, my faithful husband making me a lot of hot chocolate and marshmallows !KwinanaKids! was born. We are now a year on, and the newsletter is really blossoming, more parents are involved and we have great plans for the future! We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and support that has been chucked in the newsletters general direction. We now also (in conjunction with local early years services) run a Monday Play session fortnightly at Kwinana Hub (details in the newsletter)...any ideas for more projects for 2008/2009 gratefully received!

We are also always looking for more Mums, Dads, Grannies, Uncles, Aunties or anyone with !KwinanaKids! passion to add to !KwinanaKids! So... if there is something you love to do with your kids in Kwinana, or a scrummy recipe you want to share, or perhaps you want to offer some friendly or helpful advice, or tell us a parenting tale... just email kwinanakids@yahoo.com.au.
