Hi! I am a stretched in every direction mummy of three children 3 & under living in Kwinana...

One day about 2.5 years ago whilst my husband and I were getting frustrated at never knowing what was happening locally until it had been and gone, we had this brain wave to try and make a helpful newsletter type thing to tell us parents just what was going on, and provide helpful stuff and all sorts specifically for 0-5 year olds and their families so we all could do more and live very happily :)

A little while later, after heaps of digging around, stockpiling info from Kwinana's early years groups, my faithful husband making me a lot of hot chocolate and marshmallows !KwinanaKids! was born. We are now over 20 issues on, and the newsletter has taken off more than we could ever imagined, more parents are involved and we have great plans for the future!

We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and support that has been chucked in the newsletters general direction. We have over 500 copies going out and about in Kwinana as well as over 120 electronic subscribers to the newsletter! There is now always so much going on in Kwinana we are hard pushed to get it all into the newsletter, so don’t forget to check in here every month for all the latest news and updates! Most of the parenting groups now use the newsletter to let you all know what they have planned and many parents and other community groups are using !KwinanaKids! to keep bringing the 0-5year olds and their families in Kwinana together.. which is blooming marvellous!

We are also always looking for more Mums, Dads, Grannies, Uncles, Aunties or anyone with passion about their kids (so that’s all of you!) to add to !KwinanaKids! So... if there is something you love to do with your kids in Kwinana, or a scrummy recipe you want to share, or perhaps you want to offer some friendly or helpful advice, or tell us a parenting tale...or want to help with getting the news out there... just email kwinanakids@yahoo.com.au.
